I've decided to add a new category to my blog called 'Stash or Trash' in which i'll be reviewing product(s) and stating both the pros and cons to the product, also whether I think its worth keeping or getting rid of..
I hope you enjoy this new concept of mine; tell me what you think below!
To kick off Stash or Trash i'll be reviewing the BH Cosmetics First & Second Edition 120 Colour Eyeshadow Palettes.
RRP. $16.00
In terms of getting this product to me, I had a family member in the US order it for me and send it back with my family that were coming to the UK. I know that BH Cosmetics ships to the UK now but you know that pain when you realise you still have to pay for shipping on top of how much you've just spent. SIGHH
There are many services out there that allows you to buy things abroad without paying the ridiculous shipping costs, but me personally I have never used these services so I don't know how well they work.
Back to the review, let me start with the PROS of these palettes:
- Affordable - in terms of pricing the palettes work out to be around £13.
- Variation - each palette has 120 colours.
- Packaging - simple but cute, especially because of the matte black casing and fine font used.
- Size- the amount of product is reasonable, if the content were any bigger the palettes would be huge, with that being said, they're great for travelling.
CONS
- Weight- these palettes are quite heavy, which can result in the rise of shipping costs.
- Fragile- these shadows are very fragile and crack quite easily, so if you receive broken shadows, don't be alarmed .
SWATCHES |
- Pigmentation- this is my main issue with the palettes as the pigmentation varies between the colours, the matte colours can appear very chalky and non existent and the shimmer shades don't really have much shimmer
Other than what i've said, overall this product is decent, you just have to be willing to work with it.
CASE 1: STASH ✅
Hope you enjoyed, Love T x
