Hey there, if you're new to this blog, i'd like to say heyy, welcome to the family; and if you're a regular.. what's good!
This post is hardly done on blogs for some weird reason, but seems to be a very popular tag on Youtube.
I was going to do a 'What's on my iPhone' type of post but I don't feel I have any apps that most people wouldn't already have.
Most of my traffic is from Instagram, so I thought this post would be best fitting.
Below i'll be giving you a rough guide on how I edit my pictures for the gram.
As you may notice from my feed, I like to keep things against white backgrounds, this is just to help the product or main focus stand out.
First things first I take a picture of my subject against the white background, ensuring the lighting is decent and their is minimal amount of shadows present. I also take it using the square option so that it's already captured in a way that will fit the Instagram square.
To take these pictures I use the default iPhone camera (iPhone 6S).
Next I usually go through photos and favourite the picture I want to edit, so that it's easier to find in the next app.
The app I use next is 'Facetune'.
This is a type of photo editor that's great for smoothing, whitening and correcting imperfections.
If you don't have Facetune I suggest you purchase it ASAP; especially if you're into enhancing and perfecting beauty posts.
To get started..
Click on the little camera icon and open up your picture, i'll be using this brush as an example.
In case you were wondering the brush is from Primark.
After opening the picture, the first thing I do is use the whitening tool to whiten and brighten the background.
As you can see the whitening tool gets rid of the yellow tinge that lighting can give to white backgrounds.
Next I click the tick and save the picture to my camera roll.
Once the pictures been saved I then go to my second favourite app 'VSCO' another form photo editor, where you can apply filters, and do basic editing; you can also post to their own network and view other peoples pictures.
I could go on and on about the amount of things I can do on VSCO, that's how much I love it.
Once you've uploaded your pic to the app, you have the option to copy edits you made to a previous picture and paste it on to the new one, the benefit of this is that it can help maintain a theme, however it might not work out for every pic due to lighting or style of picture.

On this app there are also many filters and tools, but this is just my way of editing my pictures.
